The BBC reports the travelling supporters were "exhilarated" after the game, which ended 4-1 to the visitors.
Before the game most Croatian fans were optimistic, while their English counterparts were anything but.

He said: "Unbelievable. Insane. Absolutely phenomenal. We never saw it coming. It's the best game I've ever been to."
Croatian head coach Slaven Bilic was gracious in defeat and even went as far as to claim England may be the best team in Europe after watching his compatriots lose their first home match in ten years.
He reserved particular praise for England's hat-trick hero, Theo Walcott, describing the Arsenal players as "so exceptionally dangerous".
