Zagreb museum to open in December
18 September 2009The Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art is to open later this year, it has been reported.
December 11th will see the new tourist hotspot officially unveiled to the public and, according to the Croatian Times, it will be the country's largest and most modern museum.
The centre is to host a number of exciting exhibitions, including a collection of contemporary art by Croatian and international artists that will date back to the 1950s.
There are also plans for large temporary exhibitions, theatre performances and other interesting events.
Zagreb has a long and interesting history, making it a must-see for any people heading to Croatia for a holiday.
There are currently a large number of museums in the Croatian capital, including the Archaeological Museum which houses over 400,000 artefacts and the Museum of the City of Zagreb, where people can look at the political, social and economic history of the city.
As well as museums, there are also a large number of bars, clubs, restaurants and shops for visitors to enjoy.
