Zagreb sightseeing tour 'available to Croatian holidaymakers this weekend'
15 February 2010Travellers to Croatia this week are being offered the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour around the capital, Zagreb, for free.
Starting at Ben Jelacic Square at 11:00 local time on Saturday (20th February), the tour will take people on Croatian holidays on a journey around some of the city's highlights, according to the Croatian Times.
Points of interest on the route, which is being guided by The Zagreb Tourist Guide Association, include Kaptol and the upper town.
The association, which was founded in 1964, provides information and tours to travellers to Croatia in 17 different languages, the newspaper reports.
People without a trip to the historic city already booked may wish to invest in a Croatian villa for the weekend and take in the sightseeing trip.
Earlier this month, the Croatian National Tourist Board claimed Zagreb is a "little known, yet stylish" cosmopolitan city which offers an experience that will "take your breath away".
