Zagreb welcomes new shopping centre
25 September 2009Yesterday (September 24th) saw the opening of the brand new Garden Mall shopping centre in Zagreb.
The building houses a large number of shops from domestic and international brands, the Croatian Times reports.
Some of the overseas stores will be opening for the first time in Croatia, making them a big draw for many locals.
In addition to the shops there will also be the opportunity to eat and drink at the restaurant and cafe in the mall.
Time Out has suggested that Zagreb is an excellent place to shop, with an interesting mixture of traditional and modern stores.
The travel guide suggested that the Croatian capital is well known for its handmade silk ties, so it is well worth picking one up while on any shopping trip there.
Other shopping centres in the capital include Centar Kaptol, which features stores including Marks & Spencer and Hugo Boss.
