5 Bedroom villa with pool near Trogir sleeps 10
This attractive villa is located on the hillside in the seaside village of Mastrinka, Ciovo island. The property is easily accessible from the UNESCO protected town of Trogir which is located only 3 kms away. Guests staying at this villa will enjoy fabulous sea and mainland views in a comfortable villa with pool.
The villa is presented as 2 x one bedroom apartments and a main 3 bedroom house. Renting all 3 units ensures guests have exclusive and private use of the pool and other outdoor facilities. The property can accommodate 9 adults and 1 child under 12 years of age.
The house is approached via a village road where guest parking is located at the upper rear of the property. On this level are 2 x one bedroom apartments each consisting of an open plan kitchenette/diner with a shower room on one side, plus a double bedroom with sea facing balcony located towards the front of the apartment. Outside stairs from this level descend 2 flights down the side of the villa to the sea facing pool, outdoor dining and BBQ area.
The entrance to the main house is located here which guests enter directly into an open plan lounge / dining area where a set of doors lead back out onto the pool area. The kitchen is partially separated from the lounge/diner by a half wall. There is also a separate toilet on this level. Stairs located to one side of the lounge lead up to the first floor which features 2 x double bedrooms both with sea facing balconies, a twin room and a separate shower room. There is also a further balcony off the hallway. The 2 x one bedroom apartments are more simply decorated than the main house.
The villa is a lovely well balanced property although may not suit those experiencing walking difficulties or perhaps those with young children if you want to access the beach as it is approximately 80-100 steps down to the sea. Mention must also be made of Split airport which can be viewed in the far distance on the mainland.
Other places of interest to visit in the area include Split (35 minutes by car), the Krka waterfalls (45 minutes’ drive) and of course the many islands located in this region. The vibrant city of Split is less than 30 kilometres drive away. A passenger boat service to the nearby town of Trogir is available during the summer months and operates from 8am until 12am. The boat station is located 200m from the villa.

Property itself was lovely and suited our needs but the area in which it was located was a little run down, close to a rundown area of blocks of flats and lots of graffiti.
Owner was very helpful and allowed us to stay an extra 2 hours on check out day despite new holiday makers arriving the same day
Impressed with: Lovely friendly people and low cost of eating out
Not impressed with:
Recommend: Rented a private powerboat through Waterworld Croatia with Peter and had the most amazing days with him Would thoroughly recommend him.
Favourite villa moment: Powerboat with Waterworld Croatia based in Split
Stayed September 2015
Good-Excellent. The wifi stopped working day 2 which was somewhat annoying
Recommend: Boat trip to Trogir (as opposed to walking in the heat on the roads without side walks)
Favourite villa moment: Poolside with the kids
Stayed July 2015
Villa Comments: The problem with the WiFi was due to the internet provider. It was corrected within a day.
Good-Excellent. Garbage disposal was not that well organized or at least not communicated very well. And as a hint; I don't recommend leaving the garbage bags outside, even inside the property walls - the animals will find them...
Impressed with: The weather, the people (and the service culture), the sea and the beaches. And the villa was better than we expected - it really was like in the pictures! Usually the pictures make them look better.
Not impressed with: There really isn't anything, or them we just didn't come by any "bad" things.
Recommend: T.R.S. restaurant (in Trogir) was very nice. - Bura Line between Trogir and Split was handy. - Trip by rented cars to Krka
Favourite villa moment: The pool was very nice, especially for the children, although they were pretty young. - You were able to organize a chef and it was great! I can highly recommend him (Stanko Kolic) for others staying in the villa. But you should also know, that the cost was like three times more what we expected, but then again, so was the quality of the food. He charged 200€ for the service (we agreed 150€, but he said that he needed a helper, so it was 50€ more) and he charged the food by person and by course. Meaning, that he also had quite a profit in the food as well, and not just for the service. Before hand we thought he would just bring the receipt from the groceries that we would pay for him + the 200€ service. In the end the total cost was 750 for nine people... He said that the fish we had was very expensive. But as I said, the dishes were great and so we also booked him for another night - this time I negotiated the price before. But although I was pretty clear on the expense: "The total cost of the service and the food should not be more than 400€. Can we agree on this?" -> "Yes". Well, the bill for the other dinner (for ten people) was 660€... We didn't want to start a fight about it (or even mention the issue for him), not least of all because there was a small language wall, but also because we didn't want to ruin our own holiday mood. The cost it self wasn't the problem, it was more a matter of principle. Well, long story short. The chef was great, but expensive.
