Situated on the edge of the medieval hill top town of
Motovun, this pretty one bedroom apartment offers stunning views over the Mirna valley and surrounding countryside.
Motovun is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Istria and is famous for its vineyards and truffles. The city was once a former artists’ colony and now plays host to its own
international film festival (MFF) in July. In May it holds a European hot-air balloon competition and in October there is the festival of wine and truffles.
These one bedroom
apartments consist of an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge area, a separate double bedroom and a shower room. The apartments are located on the lower ground, first and second floors. These apartments would suit a couple or a family with small children.
Truffle hunting can be organized from the property. The hunting season starts from approximately 15th August till 1st January. The owner of the property is licensed to hunt truffles with her dog and guests can go with her for two hours worth of hunting. Price is charged at Euros 25 per person per hunt payable locally. Any truffles found can be bought separately and is not included in the price of the hunt. Truffle prices are charged at the prevailing daily market rate. Please advise at time of booking if you are interested in participating in a hunt. Mountain bike rental is also available nearby.
