    • Customer reviews:

We have just returned from our holiday in Croatia where we stayed in two of the properties handled by you.

Both places we stayed were really good but particularly the one in Seget Vranjica where we spent the first week. The apartment was absolutely fantastic with excellent terraces to front and side, in a superb location. The owners were kind and helpful and made the whole experience perfect. We just wish we had stayed there longer.

When you go self-catering you always take a bit of a chance on the quality of accommodation. On this occasion it was just brilliant.

      Stayed June 2017

It is comfortable, has character, beautiful views and immediate access to the sea. A folder with local information and helpful tips about the property would have been useful. We found owner very friendly and kind. It helped that we spoke German and Italian as she explained she does not speak much English.

Impressed with: The beauty of the coast and the friendliness of the people.
Not impressed with:   The outskirts of the towns and the utilitarian buildings.
Recommend: The Ribar in Seget Vranjika is excellent - good value for money, lovely food including very good grilled fish. Also friendly and relaxed. In Trogir, which is a fascinating old town, we liked the restaurant Vranjaka. Visiting the Krka National Park is worth doing, and swimming under the waterfall! if possible, eat beforehand as the restaurant there is rather busy and uninspiring. Split and the Diocletian Palace is definitely worth a visit. We had a lovely meal there at Kod Joze.
Favourite villa moment: One of many favourite villa moments was getting up in the morning and going down for a swim before breakfast.

      Stayed September 2015

Impressed with: Beautiful coastline, wonderful historic sites, great sea-swimming, charming, friendly & helpful people.
Recommend: Very well situated for the beautiful town of Trogir, the sights of Split & ferries to the Dalmatian islands.

As owner does not speak English a note of local amenities and contacts would be useful. It was interesting living in what felt like a genuine croatian home and to have the owner on site. The property was not perhaps as modern as some and some people would find this a disadvantage. Likewise I would say it is probably not suitable for young children

Owner was very friendly and we managed to get the basics sorted depsite her lack of English and our lack of German. Her grand-daughter spoke English and was available on our last day to clarify departure and the like

Impressed with: The clean sea and lack of over development. The cheapness of the food and restaurants
Not impressed with:  They do not make a huge effort to provide information about the local area for tourists. Even in Split the archaeological sites had only sparse information boards.
Recommend: Vranjica is very quiet compared to many of the resorts and fairly undeveloped. there are about 4 restaurants and one shop. No real nightlife if that is what you are interested in - we were not ! The tourist office is often closed. there is no bank or ATM nor post office ( nor anywhere selling stamps) You would be best hiring a car if you want to fuller access to these.
Favourite villa moment: Swimming in the sea and sitting on the balcony watching the boats and enjoying the view. We also hired a kayak for a few days and enjoyed pottering about in this as you can launch it from just outside the villa

      Stayed July 2015

It was fantastic to be at the water's edge. Caretaker was helpful and very friendly. She walked with us to show us the short cut to the nearest shops (lots of winding alleyways that we wouldn't have otherwise found), and with our mixture of basic German and Italian and with gestures we learnt a lot and enjoyed chatting with her.

We booked car hire through Croatian Villas, and that all proceeded smoothly.

Impressed with: Beautiful coast line, interesting town of Trogir, friendly people.
Not impressed with: Can't think of anything!
Recommend: the Riba restaurant, a short walk away.
Favourite villa moment: Breakfast on the balcony looking at the amazing view.

      Stayed September 2013

Excellent. Very clean property and perfect location, only a few minutes walk to the marina and local restaurants. Water bus to Trogir inexpensive at 20Kn per person, but this was an unreliable service. Journey takes about 45 minutes.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, very kindly arranged a taxi to take us to the airport for our return flight.

Impressed with: The beauty and peacefulness of the villages.
Recommend: Best restaurant overlooking the marina was the Bar Ribar. Excellent service and reasonably priced. The Restaurant in Trogir we tried. Was the Restaurant Kamerlengo in the old town, and was very good. and again excellent value.
Favourite villa moment: Simply sitting on the veranda having breakfast, overlooking sea and watching the early morning fishing boats dotted about in the bay, floating on the calm sea. Peace and tranquility at its’ best.

      Stayed September 2013

The owner was fantastic - although not speaking much English, we did our best Italian and German, but luckily her neighbour was English!

Impressed with: The people in Croatia were fantastic, kind and very helpful, especially with our boat.
Not impressed with: The weather was not as hot as expected. Quite a bit of wind on the sea which was unexpected for that time of year, but something to watch out for.
Recommend: Worth getting a speedboat otherwise you miss out on a lot!
Favourite villa moment: Having the boat mooring in front of the villa was very convenient. The owner was very helpful in explaining what to do and if she was concerned about our trips on the boat, she'd get a friend to explain where to go and where not to depending on the weather conditions.

      Stayed August 2013

Very nice location, calm, ideal for people wishing to have a rest, far from the noise. Caretaker was very helpful and nice, asked every time whether we need something and was happy that we liked it there.

The owner gives parasols on the beach, please inform the guests about it. There are no other rooms to rent in the villa, we were the only guests and the owner was there. The village is a real residential area; there are only 2 restaurants and 2 small groceries.

Impressed with: The landscape, sea, beaches, islands.
Recommend: Trogir, Split and Krka National Park are really nice places - but very crowded in August.
Favourite villa moment:  Sitting on the terrace and watching the sea.

      Stayed August 2013

It was perfect. I will use this website again if I go back to Croatia. I think you should allow tenants to enter testimonials in the site and owners to rate their tenants. This is encouraging for both sides. Landlady spoke German fluently and enough English to be understood.

Impressed with: Conservation of medieval cities. Punctuality of everything: buses, trains, airplanes, people,...
Not impressed with: !!! amount of tourists... Too crowded. Some dirty places in little coves.
      Recommend: Krka River falls
Favourite villa moment: On the terrace which is the highlight of this place together with the almost private beach just outside the garden.

      Stayed July 2013

Apartment was lovely and so were the owners. The only slight negative was the shower which didn't have an attachment to the wall. The owners didn't speak English so it would have been useful to have had things like taxi/bus/water taxi details and details of a large supermarket to get supplies from. There were also a lot of mosquitoes which we didn't really think about so some warning about them would have been useful.

      I'd recommend it to anyone.

I would make the comment that the taxi link from your site quoted me 48 euros to pick us up from the airport and take us to our villa. This is exorbitant for a 5km ride which we discovered would be something like 200 kn when we got there. Because of the high taxi quote - see above, we decided to book a car through your site. The company was last minute cars/economy cars and was excellent value for money. The car was great and everything well organised.

Impressed with: Very friendly people reasonably cheap to eat out Lovely clear sea Beautiful scenery
Not impressed with: Food was nice but nothing special.
Recommend: The Riba restaurant in the village was very good. The owner was very friendly and booked a taxi for us when asked. Trogir was lovely and we really enjoyed our visit to KRKA national park.
Favourite villa moment: All sitting round the table outside until late in the warm evenings

      Stayed September/October 2012

Fine property right on sea with perfect views. Not only a balcony but a large terrace with views for outdoor living. Seget village nothing special but very well placed for trips. Lane to property well maintained but narrow so small or medium car easier.

Charming lady who spoke German but not English arranged for an English speaking friend to be on hand for our arrival and drove out to rescue us when we were lost in village.

Info about boat from Seget to Trogir. It was running but from pier other side of villa. I did not find it until last day. Your directions to villa were confusing and out of date. There is no Tuborg bar: now called Skipper. A map of Seget with route marked would have helped.

Recommend: Eat in or in Trogir
Favourite villa moment: Dolphin sighting on first evening

Croatian Villa Comments: Directions have been updated. There is usually a boat service that runs every day, morning and afternoon during the summer between the village and Trogir. However, as this is a private service we recommend guests check that it is running when they get there.

      Stayed September 2012

Excellent website and the villa lived up to the expectation as set out on the website.

Impressed with:  The landscape -its natural beauty

      Stayed August 2012

The villa is in a fantastic location, great views and seconds from a beautifully clear sea. (Owners) Extremely helpful and very friendly.

Impressed with: Beautiful towns, scenery, sunshine and sea. Friendly people, fresh fish in restaurants.
Not impressed with: Lack of sandy beaches
Favourite villa moment: Sitting on the terrace in the sunshine, cooling off swimming in the sea, sitting on the terrace in the evening enjoying the view with a glass of wine!

      Stayed August 2012

Excellent. Information about local services and attractions would have been helpful. The owners gave us ideas and phoned the taxi for us when we needed to leave. It was very comfortable. The best feature was covered patio surrounded by trees offering us a cool, private place to eat and do whatever we needed to do. The owners of the apartment were very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed staying at a flat that is owned by a family rather than a big resort.

Impressed with: The history, beautiful sight and friendly people impressed me. The vacation was very affordable for us.
Not impressed with: It was beastly hot during the first week of August.
Favourite villa moment: We had many relaxing hours by the shore swimming, reading and enjoying each other's company.

      Stayed July/August 2012

      Impressed with: The clear water
Recommend: The restaurant at the blue hotel and the Ribar Konobar had good food.
Favourite villa moment: The view from the balcony, the platform by the sea, swimming.

      Stayed July 2012

The property was fantastic, the location perfect. Owners were more than welcoming, very friendly, exceptionally nice people, made us feel very welcome and not at all intrusive. The figs much appreciated and we were sad leave. Very fond memories of a brilliant holiday, we will return. Perhaps it would have been useful to have an brief information sheet, stating nearest supermarket/shop, restaurants, bus stop etc, to refer to on arrival, even though we worked it out for ourselves.

Impressed with: The scenery, architecture, history, food, people, sunshine and sea!
Not impressed with: Split airport was chaos!
Recommend: The Ribar was good value, great food (fantastic grilled fish platter, have to ask for grilled) friendly service, brilliant location. Trogir is worth a visit, take the water taxi from the campsite, can pick up a time table from Tourist Info in village. Fantastic scenery and places to eat. Market and fish market is located at the back on the old town over the bridge.
Favourite villa moment: Too many to, say! The fondest memory is sitting out on the terrace area, taking in the views, with the sun blazing and the cooling breeze and wine in hand, feeling totally relaxed. Bonus being that the sea was only a hop, skip and a jump away! Oh I wish I was there now. Thank you to the Owners and Croatian Villas.

Thank you, we feel very fortunate as this a late booking and came up trumps! Fantastic.

      Stayed June/July 2012

The area we stayed in was beautiful and the owners of the apartment were so helpful to us both. When my partner was rushed into hospital near the end of our stay they drove us to the doctors and then stayed with me at the hospital until after midnight. The then drove me to the hospital (over 50 mile round trip) again the next day. They continued to look after me until I left the apartment. I cannot thank either of them enough for all the support they gave us.

      Stayed September 2011

We loved the property, the wonderful family that owned it, and its location. It was such a pleasure to wake up in the morning and look out over the Adriatic. And our hosts could not have been more wonderful, even making chocolate pancakes for my daughter. (Least impressed with) The litter! The non-smiley Croatians - some were lovely but most didn't seem to want to make an effort The tourist info offices, which were nothing more than glorified travel agents the very expensive excursions the expensive car hire the far-too-hot climate - it was even too hot for the locals! (Liked) The beautiful clear blue sea, giving the ability to snorkel and dive and see such wonderful underwater life The efficient public transport The joy of travelling from place to place by boat The gorgeous towns/cities of Split, Trogir and Sibenik

Thank you Croatian Villas for listening to our requirements and recommending the perfect spot!

      Stayed August 2011

The owners downstairs were so friendly they really made us feel welcome and we would love to return. (Impressed with) Beauty, incredibly warm sea and marine life and fascinating culture

      Stayed August 2011

The owner was very helpful and takes care of the guest; they help you always if you have any question! The location is very quiet and the view over the sea is nice. The sea is warm and verry clean and indeed close to the property. The location is perfect to make trips to the KRKA waterfalls, Sibenik, Trogir, Split and Mostar (BIH). And those who like to travel can also visit Dubrovnik in one day!

      Stayed July 2011

We have just come back from our holiday in Croatia and were absolutely delighted with the accommodation. Our hosts were so lovely - very welcoming and always around if we needed them but not intrusive in any way. The accommodation is just as described and looks exactly like the pictures on your website - as you know not always the case!!! The location is 100% perfect being steps away from the sea, especially as we were blessed with magnificent weather. We will re book this accommodation when we return to Croatia!

      Stayed July 2010

Great accommodation for an autumn holiday. The climate allows you to spend lots of time out of doors!

      Stayed October 2009

The couple who owned the villa were very welcoming and always extremely helpful. They made us feel at home very quickly and although they lived in the bottom part of the villa they were never intrusive nor overbearing. 10/10 for hospitality.

      Stayed September 2009

Family who owned the flat were just brilliant - made us feel very welcome, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Many thanks for a fab holiday.

      Stayed July 2009

Very cozy decor with an almost new kitchen with all you need for cooking. Could have been nice with a small barbeque on the terrace. The owner is a very friendly lady. She doesn't speak English, so if you do speak German or Italian that would be helpful..

Impressed with: The sea which is so clean. The nature is beautiful - we visited Krka National park and it was a great experience.
Recommend: We tried the Mediterranean restaurant by the sand beach - and we had excellent food, wine and service. Good value for money. Also the 2 other restaurants "down town" had good food - but please notice that they don't accept credit cards.
Favourite villa moment: When we saw dolphins playing in the sea.

      Stayed June/July 2014

The owner was a dear and very helpful although we had limited language - her German and my "soldier" German) from 60+ years ago! However, her neighbour and nephew spoke English and were helpful, friendly and everyone was hospitable making the whole visit most friendly.

The car hired from Avant car rental was very reasonably priced and appears to be much cheaper than most other renters. It was this year's model and in good order and the staff were friendly and efficient. (Hyundai i10)

Impressed with: The beauty of the sea, islands and national park views. The prices for meals and shopping were very reasonable and all the staff in restaurants were helpful. However, almost all menus were almost identical but the food was generally good especially if you like fish (which I don't!)
Not impressed with: Massive thunder storms on the days we arrived and left but we understand that these were unusual!
Favourite villa moment: Perhaps the views from the veranda calling for a dip in the adjacent sea.
