Beautiful 5 Bedroom Dalmatian stone Villa with Pool in Skrip on Brac Island
This beautifully restored Dalmatian stone villa complete with L-Shaped swimming pool is situated in the village of Skrip, one of the oldest settlements on Brac island. Located 5km from the sea, the villa offers spectacular views of Brac, the Adriatic and mainland.
The villa is accessed from a quiet road through double doors into a spacious courtyard where there is a stone pool house above which sits a lovely terrace offering sea views to the mainland. Access to the main house is from the courtyard which leads into a very large open plan kitchen/diner lounge area. French doors from the lounge lead out onto a terrace and down to the pool area. This floor also features a bathroom. The first floor consists of a master bedroom with French doors leading out onto a balcony with sea/pool views. There are three further bedrooms (two double rooms and one single room) and a family bathroom. A separate stone guest house offers on the ground floor, a kitchen/diner/lounge with double sofa-bed and a shower room, and a double bedroom on the first floor. The property also features a Konoba with a dining table that can seat up to 14 persons with an outdoor BBQ area nearby.
Car hire is recommended. There is a restaurant and grocery store within walking distance of the property. This villa would suit families or a group of friends travelling together who are looking to stay in a wonderful setting yet be within easy access to all the attractions the island has to offer.

It was a shame the wifi was not initially working and the pool was not able to be used for 24hrs due to the pump breaking down. However, the local support was excellent. Very, was prompt in contacting back and did his upmost to resolve problems as quickly as possible.
Impressed with: Beautiful scenery, fabulous food, friendly people and good value for money
Not impressed with: Nothing, we were very impressed. The process ran smoothly, so nothing major to feedback.
Recommend: Postira was beautiful and had some lovely restaurants. We spent most of our time visiting the local beach coves.
Favourite villa moment: Grilling our dinner outdoors with the sun setting, enjoying the fabulous view of the mountains with a glass of wine and the kids having a last splash in the pool.
Staff was really really helpful!! Thank you.
There were quite a lot that we needed to buy for example sponges for dishes, soap for toilets, seasoning and folios etc. For further use there would be nice if you have more cooking equipment and that I mean like whisk, pancake spatula and other spatulas, better pan for pancakes etc. Otherwise everything was good.
Bikes where not in good shape and there where only one bike in use.
Impressed with: Brac Island
Recommend: In Skrip area, there were really nice and friendly people and I there for recommend the whole Skrip area to everyone to visit.
Favourite villa moment: Evenings when we had supper together by the grill :)
Croatian Villa Comments: Soaps and washing equipment such as sponges and washing up liquid are generally not included with self-catering properties. These need to be purchased although often items such as washing up liquid are left behind by previous guests. We have requested additional kitchen equipment to be supplied and the bikes to undergo maintenance over the winter period.

Very nice and helpful person (caretaker) to contact with in Škrip. Five star man. Not disturbing and peaceful neighbours. Very disturbing , barking dogs especially early in the morning The Villa has 2 fridges but they are too small as for 9 people to chill food and beverages Other than that excellent.
Impressed with: Breathtaking views, peaceful people, crystal clear sea, amazing food.
Not impressed with: There is no such a thing
Recommend: There's no restaurant, bars really in this exact location, the one we know about it's not even worthy to put your foot in it. But there are some nice places in Supetar 6km or excellent ones in Bol 38 km away
Favourite villa moment: Every evening

Very friendly and helpful population. Everything "works", agreements are kept, you get what you expect, and things happen on time Beautiful landscape, clean. A much more advanced country than you would expect.

We received excellent service from start to finish. Swift responses to all our queries before we arrived (e.g re: extra cots for children etc), clear instructions and the villa itself more than met our expectations. The property care taker was excellent and we couldn't have asked for more welcoming, yet unobtrusive service - he swiftly dealt with a problem of a swarm of bees having made their nest in the villa (even though we appreciated this was a tricky and potentially dangerous thing to deal with) and also on the final day helped one of our group who left her iphone behind retrieve it quickly. Impressed with The beautiful scenery. The warm welcome from local people. Everything met and indeed surpassed our expectations both in terms of the service we received whilst making booking and other arrangements and in terms of the holiday itself.

The property was above expectation and provided a holiday with a real Croatian feel.

It was a lovely place to stay - could do with a bit better kitchen equipment (knives etc...) There is quite a noisy dog nearby but he only barked late in the night once. A welcome basket of milk/bread would have been a good option. Tips on which was the best route to the ferry on Saturday (and how busy it would be as it was villa changeover day) would have been good.
Impressed with: The sea, the mountains in the background
Not impressed with: Lack of fresh food markets.
Recommend: Local museum and restaurant are very nice.
Favourite villa moment: Cooking and eating in the evening, kids splashing in the pool.
