    Fair-Excellent. A working shower and better washing machine. (Recommend) Visit old Trogir, old Split and although not in the area Plitvice Lakes were amazing.

    Apartment 2 was great. Very quiet, scenic, tidy with beautiful landscaping. Host was very good, very helpful, and friendly. Good language skills in English. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a base near seaside in North. KRK Island is nearby but need to plan long drives to Istria, Lakes, etc. as they are distant. So best if you want place on seaside to relax, stay put with maybe closer area visits instead.  Not sure we would book one place again but maybe stay in several for two nights each so we better see country. Like apartments versus hotels but to ease travel would prefer to stay several places versus so much daily driving. (Restaurants) We liked Nada on Vrbnik on KRK Island and Francopan locally. (Enjoyed) Just relaxing out on grounds in sun with sea facing

    Impressed with: Beautiful country. Friendly people. 
    Not impressed with: Graffitti and satellite dishes on historic bldgs.

    It is comfortable, has character, beautiful views and immediate access to the sea. A folder with local information and helpful tips about the property would have been useful. We found owner very friendly and kind. It helped that we spoke German and Italian as she explained she does not speak much English.

    Impressed with: The beauty of the coast and the friendliness of the people.
    Not impressed with:   The outskirts of the towns and the utilitarian buildings.
    Recommend: The Ribar in Seget Vranjika is excellent - good value for money, lovely food including very good grilled fish. Also friendly and relaxed. In Trogir, which is a fascinating old town, we liked the restaurant Vranjaka. Visiting the Krka National Park is worth doing, and swimming under the waterfall! if possible, eat beforehand as the restaurant there is rather busy and uninspiring. Split and the Diocletian Palace is definitely worth a visit. We had a lovely meal there at Kod Joze.
    Favourite villa moment: One of many favourite villa moments was getting up in the morning and going down for a swim before breakfast.

    Impressed with: Beautiful coastline, wonderful historic sites, great sea-swimming, charming, friendly & helpful people.
    Recommend: Very well situated for the beautiful town of Trogir, the sights of Split & ferries to the Dalmatian islands.

    Stayed July/August 2015

    As owner does not speak English a note of local amenities and contacts would be useful. It was interesting living in what felt like a genuine croatian home and to have the owner on site. The property was not perhaps as modern as some and some people would find this a disadvantage. Likewise I would say it is probably not suitable for young children  

    Owner was very friendly and we managed to get the basics sorted depsite her lack of English and our lack of German. Her grand-daughter spoke English and was available on our last day to clarify departure and the like

    Impressed with: The clean sea and lack of over development. The cheapness of the food and restaurants  
    Not impressed with:  They do not make a huge effort to provide information about the local area for tourists. Even in Split the archaeological sites had only sparse information boards.
    Recommend: Vranjica is very quiet compared to many of the resorts and fairly undeveloped. there are about 4 restaurants and one shop. No real nightlife if that is what you are interested in - we were not ! The tourist office is often closed. there is no bank or ATM nor post office ( nor anywhere selling stamps) You would be best hiring a car if you want to fuller access to these.  
    Favourite villa moment: Swimming in the sea and sitting on the balcony watching the boats and enjoying the view. We also hired a kayak for a few days and enjoyed pottering about in this as you can launch it from just outside the villa

    Caretakers were fine, not overly helpful but did the necessary. There was no brief though on what to do with the rubbish, we kind of figured it our ourselves.
    It would have been nice to have some sun loungers on the veranda and the outside chairs, or rather the cushions for them, were in a pretty sorry state.

    Impressed with: Some of the beautiful scenery in southern Dalmatia
    Not impressed with:   For us most of Croatia was too touristy. Despite the scenery and weather being stunning, we are not sure if we can put up with the masses of people again. Maybe out of season yes, but not during peak season.
    Recommend:  Hire a small boat to explore the coastline.
    Favourite villa moment: Sunset - great views.
    Villa Comments: Sun loungers  were in the garage so we don’t know how they didn’t see them. As for the garbage, it could happen we forgot to mention that but it is also written on the villa instructions given to guests which also includes local recommendations. All guests have our contact details and are advised to contact us if they need any help or assistance.  We are sorry we were not made aware whilst guests were staying at the property as we could have rectified the situation.

    An information pack in the property with useful information about the apartment (e.g. to tell us how the kitchen hot water is heated, as we had to work this out for ourselves) and information on local facilities. Shower heads need to be cleaned/replaced. A follow up visit by agent within first few days would have been helpful. We would have liked a clean half way through the 2 weeks - this is normal in holiday properties.

    We suggest you or the owner gives the property a thorough clean/check before the start of each season. For example, we had to wash all items in the kitchen before we used them because they were dirty and the hot water in the bathroom sink did not work initially. We liked the double bed - it was a good size and comfortable, but the screws used in its construction need to be tightened - they are loose and are noisy.

    Impressed with: Scenery. Good value. Friendly people. Good quality roads.
    Not impressed with:  Food, with the exception of fish and seafood which is excellent.
    Recommend: Restaurant by the sea at Perna (not sure of the name but it has the fish picnic boat). Villa Antonio Hotel -very friendly. Good buffet and lovely pool. Dubrovnic - worth the trip even though it is crowded. Ston and its wall. Ferries to Korcula are excellent. Ice cream shop in centre of Orebic where all the locals go.
    Favourite villa moment: Sitting on the terrace looking at the view and watching the boats etc - amazing.

    Villa Comments: We never had any complaints about the cleanliness. I have to admit that when we go to inspect the house before guests arrive, we are not checking each plate or spoon but overall the house looked spotless. When I was taking them to the house I gave them additional clean linens and towels as they were staying for two weeks and showed them around the house. They were asking about the pool, were quite impressed with the ambience and charm of the house. I also gave them instructions to the nearest beach, supermarket and other basic information and suggestions like every time. They were also informed that there is no half stay cleaning but that we will organize a cleaning lady for them if they wish – they said it is not necessary.

    On their voucher there was my mobile phone number and I told them not to hesitate to call if they have any additional questions or need any kind of assistance. We don’t go to visit guests after arrival – only on their request. Now I can only say that I’m sorry they didn’t contact me with this while they were here – we would take care of it right away.

    No one complained about loose screws, shower heads or hot water but I’ll go and check it out and replace/fix what is needed. The previous guests didn't mention anything about the shower heads. The main issue here could be low water pressure in high season but we will double check everything. I apologize for the inconvenience this might cause you.

    The apartment was very dark and the lights in the room were not very cosy. Owner was very helpful.

    Property response: I suppose that they were very dissapointed about the weather, it was raining all the time the whole week, very cold, they had heating on. Regarding the lights: there are 2x ceiling lights ( each with 3 bulbs in) and a lamp beside the sofa bed in the living room, again such a ceiling light and two lamps on each side of the bed in the bedroom...There is also a neon over the sink and one over the electric hob.

    It was perfect for our needs, demands and wishes. The only things are: - it is situated in the middle of industrial harbours which does not give the best feelings. But you do not feel any impact in the quality of the environment In general it was a very beautiful villa with an amazing pool and private beach!!! Thanks for this proposal.     Very happy with the service all round

    Impressed with: We have now visited Croatia 5 separate times, all different places. Absolutely love the country, scenery, coastline, food, value for money, good weather, culture, history etc. etc. It's also so clean in comparison to some other south eastern European countries.

    Recommend: Korcula old town lovely restaurants, but 35 minutes from the villa

    Favourite villa moment: Relaxing at the pool, with the wonderful view out to sea.

    It is a lovely quiet villa in a beautiful village. The plants, terrace and balcony were really nice. The views are absolutely spectacular. The neighbours were friendly and we enjoyed everything about it. The car parking area is steep and quite tight, so people may struggle a bit with a very large car.

    Impressed with: wonderful scenery, great history, nice people, very easy, fantastic swimming.
    Recommend: The local beaches are all lovely. Korcula is not to be missed. And taking a trip to an island is well worthwhile, spectacular nature, views, peace and quiet and swimming. The pizzeria in the village is really nice and very cheap.
    Favourite villa moment: Standing on the balcony looking over the vineyards, hills and out to the Adriatic.

    Excellent.  The location is great if you want a quiet, secluded holiday and don't require direct beach access. Having our own pool was perfect, and the view was beautiful. The only downside was that the pool temperature was too cold to really swim in it. Would be helpful to have it solar heated. The villa itself was perfectly arranged with lovely decor - we felt very at home. We enjoyed our time at the villa immensely!

    The caretaker was very friendly and approachable.

    Excellent. A lovely setting with great access to the sea.  The owners could not have been more helpful. They were horrified that one of the air conditioning units was not working (the apartment had one in every room) and immediately arranged for it to be repaired, despite it being a Sunday.

    It's a lovely villa with spectacular views. The owner’s representative could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The housekeepers were excellent. Extremely nice and very helpful. The beds were the best we have had in over 60+ villa rentals all over the world. However if we had been 8 people, there was not enough outside space. There were a lot of woodlice inside and outside the villa.

    Recommend: The bars and restaurants in the ACI Marina were great as was the Konzum supermarket there. Kapun restaurant in the Old Town in the square of St Ignatius church was outstanding.

    This property is beautiful; I would highly recommend it, everything you could wish for. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful; she couldn't have done more for us.

    Recommend: Restaurant Dubravka at the entrance to Pile gate, a fabulous meal and excellent value, also the three island cruise, a great day out.

    Excellent. Suited us perfectly. We returned to the mainland on the Sumartin-Makarska ferry which was very convenient and might have suited the journey out too.

    Loved the village and the house. The land line number for the caretaker wasn't helpful as she used her mobile, and the person who answered didn't speak English

    Caretaker was brilliant, extremely helpful (especially helping with sorting out a broken down hire car) , couldn't have asked for more. Even got up to see us off at 05.30

    Impressed with: Beauty of scenery, cleanliness. Clarity of the sea. Friendliness of people. 
    Not impressed with: Our car hire company who were very obstructive when our car broke down, until Angela laid into them!
    Recommend:The Golden Horn in Bol is lovely but very busy and nicest visited later in day -when parking was free too.

    All was fine. Only annoyance was wasps. Too many of them to make eating on the terrace relaxing. Recommend to have some wasp nest treatment after the summer, possibly also to leave spray for guests.

    The villa was located in a beautifully secluded bay and all the necessary equipment was provided. The owner was amazing kind and relaxed and even did 2 car journeys from Trogir to take me and my friends to the villa as we had no car. A meal had also been prepared for our arrival.

    We just loved the setting, its terraces, furniture and views, the dedicated deck by the sea with loungers and parasol. Whilst we know mosquitos / bugs are a given on holiday in Med - there were quite a lot of coils, some of the window nets were broken. Advice on shutting doors would be good. Could not get oven to work, but grill ok. Gas jets seemed to be the wrong sort as they 'sooted' the saucepans.
    Owner was extremely friendly - and fish and mussels on arrival nice. offered to pick up other members of party (we preferred to do ourselves  
    A booklet in the house giving local information - could not find one - eg where to buy fish, where good restaurants were (apart from nearby one), even a visitors book for us and others to record their own finds in as well.
    First booking was very friendly, gave us reassurance that this would work, that you knew your properties.

    We were very happy with both Villas VS001 and VS008 18-24 Sept 2012.  Hosts were excellent, no complaints at all.  Should we do another cricket tour to Vis, I will come back to your site, and would recommend the company.

    Croatian Villa staff were very helpful at all times. There was one issue where a PDf was sent for one villa and not for the other.  It turned out that you don't use the PDf anymore. But it did provide a bit of confusion.  Nevertheless, your staff were very helpful and sorted it all out.

    Caretaker was very welcoming and helpful- met us at Port and took us to House. She gave us a tour of House, explained all we needed to know- showed us the local information booklets and told us to phone her if we needed anything.

    Brilliant location between Luka and Kut- 10m from sea had morning swim every morning before breakfast. Excellent facilities in kitchen- we dined in 3 nights out of 7. Great information left for us by owners.

    Impressed with: Friendliness of people, cleanliness of beaches, and the beautiful countryside. 
    Not impressed with:  Nothing.
    Recommend:  Very laid back Town which was fantastic for just chilling out. Plenty of great restaurants- we had a superb meal every evening and the occasional lunch-you have to go to Pol Murvu- we had lunch there and wished we had booked an evening meal and arranged a taxi- we will next time we visit the Island ! Hire a car for a day and you can easily travel around the Island to see the various sights. A boat trip to Blue Cave was a lovely day - you can also do it as a half day from Kommitza. Some lovely beaches around Vis Town as well especially towards the Submarine Cave.  
    Favourite villa moment: Watching the Fireworks display on our first night from the rooftop terrace- awesome.

    The Villa was fantastic. The location of the villa was even better. A coffee in the morning on the beach with clear turquoise water is to dream of. The kitchen utilities were adequate to our needs. This truly a great place and we would recommend this to all. Caretaker / Owner and her Son was of great help. They surprised us with some bread, cheese and wine when we arrived as it was late. And they were very friendly and helpful.

    Clearer information about departure time would have been helpful. Your website states that villas need to be vacated by 11am, but our housekeeper wanted us out before 10am.

    Fantastic location, right on seafront. Very spacious and comfortable, although decor and equipment was a little dated, and kitchen cupboards smelt musty.

    Local contact and housekeeper were very friendly and helpful. Very efficient, helpful service. No problems.

    Impressed with: Beautiful scenery and coastline. Fascinating historical towns and cities. 
    Recommend:Prsac Restoran in Razanj was outstanding. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the capable hands of our host.

    The property is absolutely wonderful, comfortable, and attractive. The location is outstanding. This villa delivered everything we hoped for, and more. The beautiful beach with its clear sea right outside the front gate was quite magical. The facilities: good comfortable bedrooms and very good bathrooms (great showers). The kitchen is adequate, though a bit basic. Washing machine was very useful and much appreciated. The BBQ - just great.

    Baby cot was not available in spite of checking with you that it would be there. The owners did eventually produce one, though the communication was a bit challenging. There are basically 3 things that would be very useful to have in this otherwise wonderful place: - air condition units (one in the main house and one in the annex would do) - microwave oven (quite essential these days) - Wi-Fi (this would upgrade the villa and make life a lot easier) These three additions would make the stay absolutely perfect, and we would not hesitate to book the same place again and again. A house handbook would be useful: - welcoming message - instructions & recommendations - local transport (e.g. boat taxi service) - more info on local shopping, and on cafes and restaurants - places of interest etc. Perhaps a Visitors' Book would be useful for us to leave a message, which would have been highly positive, if we had the chance.

    The booking process was remarkable impersonal, very much focused on the process as business transaction. The first communication told me nothing about the place I have booked, but told me a great deal about how I should pay and when, and about the penalties should I fail to observe each step on time. Not very friendly, which is a shame. On the other hand, everyone I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and helpful.

    Impressed with: Above all the clear sea. The old city of Trogir.
    Not impressed with: Surprising lack of cafes and restaurants in many beautiful seaside villages. Oddly unattractive architecture when it comes to present developments. There is a feel of post-communist awkwardness in the way they manage their tourist industry.
    Recommend: There is a basic, reasonably stocked supermarket in the village, but tends to be more expensive. We would recommend a supermarket on the way to Rogoznice by car. Also, would recommend taking a boat taxi to Rogoznice, where there are many good restaurants. Also, for those looking for fresh fish - early morning directly from fishing boats at the car park by the bridge. A drive to Trogir is a must. It is an old historical town - just beautiful. There is a big market, and many good restaurants on the island.
    Favourite villa moment: We had memorable and outstanding moments daily. Early morning swim, watching the sunset, using the barbeque, snorkelling and finding an octopus.....

    We were impressed with: The people, the beauty, the food, the options to make day trips to other countries, the lack of outdoor signage along the beautiful coast line outside Dubrovnik, the cleanliness, and the architecture.
    Dubrovnik needs help in displaying its goods to tourists. Some pretty tacky items were offered for sale as though they were other than truly cheap souvenirs. That's the one area where Montenegro and Herzegovina topped Dubrovnik.
    I would definitely recommend you to EVERYONE!! You and the country were marvelous!!!!

    I liked the villa and location of the villa that I rented. Everything was fine. The caretakers were great and we also met the owner.

    Impressed with:
    Croatia is a wonderful country. It's beautiful, the people are friendly and helpful, and most everyone spoke English (good for us because we don't speak Croatian!). It has natural beauty, Greek and Roman ruins, old towns from the Middle Ages, great museums (in Zagreb especially) and the food was fabulous.

    Recommend: Trogir old town is an absolute gem and a few minutes away. Advise visitors to Trogir old town to park in the large lot on the right near the wooden bridge which goes to old town (the lot is just before the market). Going a bit further is always jammed with traffic, at least in the summer. The market is open in the summer well into night and has great vegetables, cured meats, trinkets, food stalls, etc. Across the street is a fabulous fish market and a conventional supermarket. The fish market seems to sell out by noon or so, so go early. Seget has several good restaurants in the harbor area, a short walk from the house. We loved Samac and Mediterano. In Trogir, Mirkul was great. Seafood is the way to go in every case. The harbor area of Trogir is a good place to have a few drinks and watch people. Split is good for a visit, although parking is a challenge. Krka Park is about a hour away and is worth a visit although it's jammed with people in the summer. There's a second park that's part of Krka that we drove to that was much less crowded. The falls there weren't as spectacular, but it was still quite beautiful.

    Favourite villa moment:  Snorkeling. The water below the house is crystal clear and has literally hundreds of sea urchins clinging to the rocks and many small fish.

    Not impressed with:  Country needs to manage the infrastrcuture to cope with the tourist. Main example is waste management as some place can get quite dirty.
    Recommend: RIBAR restaurant in Seget. Very good food even if the service is slow (like in other Croatian place) so it is OK. Krka national parc / Plitvice national parc / Trogir / Dubrovnic / Sibenic To rent a boat to see the islands

    It was utterly beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. It came with everything we needed and i.e. everything in the kitchen that we needed for cooking. The only issue we had was that 2 of the sun loungers broke within a minute of sitting on them and it was obvious they'd been previously stuck back together (the owner admitted this). This meant two of us were without sun loungers but we were happy lying on the cushions around the pool. This may however, be a problem for other guests. Owner was Extremely helpful and charming

    The only minor issues we had was that I needed to contact you to ask for information on directions, what to do on arrival etc. Once I'd had my full payment confirmation, I didn't hear from you and as the holiday approached I was worried we weren't going to. Despite that, when I contacted you Agata was extremely helpful, sending me all the information in a timely manner. It would have been useful to know that a rep was going to be at the airport to meet us - we weren't aware of this and she was wondering around the airport at Pula looking for us. We had booked a car but because this wasn't in my name she couldn't identify us when she did her rounds of the car hire windows. If we'd known to look out for her we would have done this first.
