Croatian travellers could be blessed with "spring-like" conditions at Christmas
24 December 2009Travellers in Croatia can expect a warm Christmas Day, with temperatures set to reach a pleasant 17 degrees Celsius, according to the Croatian Times.
A warm breeze will cover much of the country, particularly the coastal areas, creating "spring-like" conditions for those sampling a Croatian Christmas to enjoy.
The weather is then expected to take a cold turn - making a white festive season in the Balkans an outside possibility, the newspaper states.
It could be the ideal time to experience the rich history and beauty of Croatia as bathing on a warm beach and venturing through snowy mountains could both be on the agenda even during a stay of just a few days.
Alternatively, holidaymakers may be planning to lock themselves away in a luxury Croatian villa and enjoy a traditional Christmas.
People staying in Britain this Christmas can expect cloudy, overcast weather with a top temperature of seven degrees Celsius, according to the Met Office.
