Dubrovnik attracts Hollywood stars
19 June 2009For people who are currently planning a summer holiday, Dubrovnik could appear on their radar.
And if this is the case, they will be following in the footsteps of a number of famous celebrities from across the world, according to the Croatian Times.
The newspaper revealed that the southern Croatian city has become the "in place for holidays" among some of Hollywood's elite in recent years.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are a selection of the stars who have chosen a Dubrovnik vacation in recent times, the publication said.
Last month, the Observer called Dubrovnik one of the top places to visit in the Mediterranean region.
Tempting people to holiday there, it said: "The walled city of Dubrovnik is one of the Mediterranean's most beautiful - and to stay within the walls and potter between the markets and cafe-lined piazzas is one of the most relaxing ways to experience it."
