Dubrovnik makes BA shortlist for top 2010 holiday destinations
16 November 2009A holiday in Dubrovnik is one of the top ten trips recommended by British Airways for 2010.
The airline, using its official Twitter account, has advised passengers of its top ten destinations to head to in the new year - and the Croatian resort finished in sixth place.
Leading the poll was Cape Town, followed by Istanbul and Las Vegas.
Vancouver and Punta Cana made up the top five, but right behind was Croatia's walled city in its deep south.
Dubrovnik could be the perfect holiday destination for families because it could offer something for everyone - from long and sandy beaches with picturesque views of the Adriatic Sea, to ancient ruins and history-packed streets.
Last month the Evening Standard advised readers to head to Dubrovnik for its "vintage port" and said that "the best way to take it in is from the city walls, which you ascend behind a working drawbridge and portcullis".
