Dubrovnik to welcome Hollywood A-Lister

Croatia is set to welcome Hollywood's comeback kid Mickey Rourke to the Dubrovnik Film Meeting.

The Iron Man 2 actor will be in the country for a special screening of his Oscar nominated film the Wrestler.

The film, in which he stars as an ageing wrestling champion trying to forge a new career as his body gives up on him, earned Rourke a nomination for Best Actor at the Academy Awards.

The event, on August 21st and 22nd, will see Rourke stay at the Vila Agava, which is the luxury haunt of many global celebrities, reports the Croatian Times.

Dubrovnik Film Meeting is one of the most star-studded events of the year in Dubrovnik, having previously welcomed celebrities such as Nick Nolte, Steve Buscemi and Kevin Spacey as guests.

The 2009 gathering will be the fourth annual film gathering and will solidify its place as one of the most interesting spectacles for those on holiday in Dubrovnik.
