Family holidays are making a comeback
18 August 2009An increasing number of people are using their holidays to spend some quality time with the family.
According to the results of a new survey commissioned by HolidayExtras.com, 42 per cent of respondents said that being with loved ones was the most enjoyable aspect of taking a holiday.
Kate Kenward, of the Association of Independent Tour Operators, also spoke about the increase in family sentiment when booking a trip.
She said: "For many families their holidays are becoming more important as a way of spending quality time together without the distractions of today's busy lifestyle.
"Despite the recession families are still looking forward to and booking their holidays as they realise it's impossible to put a price on the value of a relaxing break."
Croatia could provide the perfect destination for family breaks with a vast array of attractions catering for people of all ages.
The walls of Dubrovnik are one such feature and enjoyed record levels of popularity in July.
