Holiday in Croatia could help fans experience filming of new Doctor Who
04 December 2009Doctor Who fans may want to travel to Croatia on a last-minute break to see the cult show being filmed.
The cast of the BBC programme are currently in the coastal resort of Trogir recording scenes for an episode which will be aired during the fifth series, due to hit screens next year.
It is one of the first times Matt Smith has played the role of the doctor since recently taking over from David Tennant in the lead role.
Images of the filming appear to reveal scenes set in a marketplace, possibly suggesting the episode could be set in years gone by.
Reports also claim that a character called Rory, boyfriend of Amy Pond - played by Karen Gillan - is another new addition to the show.
Booking a holiday in Croatia could be the ideal way for Doctor Who fans to watch the programme being pieced together on the cobbled streets of Trogir, which is about 15 miles west of Split.
Doctor Who recently celebrated the 46th anniversary since it first appeared on British television.
