Metallica gig could be good reason to book Croatian villa

Legendary heavy metal band Metallica will perform in Zagreb, it has been announced - which could tempt a number of fans into booking a Balkan break.

As part of the group's World Magnetic Tour, they will visit the city's Hippodrome on May 16th, according to the Croatian Times.

In a further boost to Metallica lovers, organisers have confirmed that they will remain on stage for about two hours.

The concert is set to feature all of the group's greatest hits, as well as special guests from their hometown of Los Angeles, the newspaper reveals.

About 20,000 tickets will go on sale for the gig, priced between 300 and 450 kunas (£36.88 to £55.32), which could be a perfect Christmas present for heavy metal aficionados.

Metallica join other music heavyweights the Pet Shop Boys and Jose Carreras in arranging concerts for the capital, which could result in a greater number of people booking a Croatian villa.
