Niko Kranjcar: There is something for everyone on Dubrovnik holiday
15 December 2009Tottenham and Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar has advised Britons searching for a beach break in luxurious surroundings to head for the southern Croatian city of Dubrovnik.
The football star was asked by journalists where he would recommend tourists from his adopted homeland head to, according to Guide2Croatia.
Kranjcar told the online holiday advice site: "Dubrovnik is the place to go to in Croatia. This city offers everything a person could want from entertainment to cultural events. There is truly something for everyone."
He added that Dubrovnik has rightly earned the reputation as Croatias premier holiday hotspot.
One possible reason for Dubrovnik's popularity could be its rare blend of unspoilt beaches attached to a thriving, bustling historic city - meaning there really can be something for everyone.
Travellers to Croatia who follow Kranjcar's advice and visit the ancient southern city may wish to walk the perimeter of its boundary walls, which have been highlighted by a number of journalists and visitors in recent months as being particularly beautiful.
