Reinhold Wurth chooses Dubrovnik for summer holiday

One of the world's richest men has chosen Dubrovnik to holiday this summer.

Reinhold Wurth, who has featured on the Forbes rich list on numerous occasions, has docked his 85-metre-long luxury yacht in the city's port, according to the Croatian Times.

The newspaper reports that the vessel, which he purchased at the beginning of this year for 100 million euros, can reach 18.5 knots and has its own helipad.

He is currently touring the Adriatic, according to the report, and has previously stopped off in some other popular sun spots including Malta and Venice.

Dubrovnik has made the news several times this week, after it was nominated for a prestigious award at the World Travel Awards.

The city, which is known as the jewel of the Adriatic, has been nominated as Europe's Leading Travel Destination.

The winner of the coveted award will be announced at a ceremony on October 17th in Portugal.
