Special train service from Zagreb to Dalmatia
02 July 2009People on a Croatia travel trip this summer, as well as locals looking for a good time, will be able access so-called disco trains between Zagreb and Split from tomorrow.
Travelling from the capital city to the popular Dalmatia holiday destination, the service will provide passengers with refreshments, entertainment and - as the name suggests - disco music.
Anyone on a holiday in Croatia between July 3rd and August 22nd will be able to buy tickets for the Croatian Railways route.
This year, the project is being supported by Croatian telecommunications services provider T-HT.
Vesna Maric, an author involved with the Lonely Planet Croatia travel guide books, recently recommended Split as a vacation destination, saying it has good nightlife, a number of historic attractions and is close to the Dalmatia islands.
She said that the city is a "beautiful place" to visit, but is often overlooked by holidaymakers.
