Five bedroom villa with pool in Orasac near Dubrovnik
This pretty stone villa is located in the village of Orasac near Dubrovnik. Set in the hills that line this part of the coast, the villa offers very pretty views of the Adriatic sea and surrounding islands. The villa is offered as a three bedroom main house (DU083B) plus two bedroom annexe (DU083A).
Guests approach the villa from the main road up a side street which after approximately 700m leads to the villa. Car parking is in front and below the accommodation and there are approximately 25 steps up to the property from the car parking area. The villa consists of a main house plus annexe and in front of both runs the main sea facing terrace which also features an outside glass covered dining table and cushion covered stone bench. Guests enter the main house directly into an attractively decorated open plan kitchen / diner / lounge area with separate shower room. The kitchen is slightly raised from the lounge area. The first floor features two double rooms both offering sea views, a twin bedroom and a separate family bathroom with bath.
The annexe which adjoins the main house is located on the first floor and guests go up a flight of stairs into a very pretty, brightly lit by natural light and stylishly decorated open plan kitchen (featuring an American style fridge), lounge and dining area. Shutters in the lounge open up onto a pretty balcony offering lovely views of the sea and islands. A galleried sleeping area featuring a double bed and separate toilet is attached to this main open plan lounge. To the rear and on the ground floor of the accommodation there is a separate double bedroom and separate bathroom with a bath.
Below the main terrace stairs lead down to the kidney shaped pool and sunbathing area.
The accommodation would suit a family or group of friends looking to stay within easy access of Dubrovnik. Car hire is recommended if staying at this villa. The nearest beach is within 5 minutes drive and features the charming Caffe Bar Hawaii surrounded by fantastic clear water and a small harbour providing the opportunity to go on private boat excursions to explore the serene islands of Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep. In addition to visiting the splendid historical city of Dubrovnik, the nearby 63 acre Arboretum at Trsteno is well worth a visit. Other trips for consideration include excursions to off shore islands such as Mljet and the Elaphite islands as well as day trips/excursions to Montenegro and Mostar. Location

Pricing Information
Pricing is calculated per property per night in GBP Sterling. Many destinations also require tourist tax to be paid. Tourist tax starts from approximately £1 per adult per night, and £0.50 per night per child aged 12-17 at time of travel. If tourist tax is applicable to the destination you are travelling to, this will be shown in the booking process. For tourist tax payable at time of booking, the cost will be added to your subtotal. A 30% deposit is required at time of booking. Full balance is due 10 weeks prior to arrival.
If booking within 10 weeks of arrival, the full cost of the villa must be paid at the time of booking.

Not impressed with: The parking.
Recommend: Hawaii Bar very friendly and good basic food - superb location next to the water. Renting a small boat from the Hawaii Bar either to use alone or with a driver to explore coves and to visit the islands. Taking the bus into Dubrovnik very easy and better than trying to park. Zaton village for restaurants right on the water's edge and for boat hire. Beach at Zali close by and good for sun and shade.

Stayed August/September 2016Great place to stay to experience Croatian life. Very comfortable accommodation. Steps perfectly manageable. Great view of Dubrovnik harbour which allowed us to assess how busy the city was, according to the number of liners in port. Could do with more large glasses ( nothing suitable for beer!) Stock of salt / pepper and other basic cooking provisions on handover would be useful.
Owner was very, very friendly and helpful. Always around or available when needed, yet discrete. Full of useful advice and happy to sort out trips. Top man!
Impressed with: The beautiful countryside
Recommend: Hawaii restaurant good tasty, wholesome, uncomplicated food. Great atmosphere and location. ( Shame about the hill.) A day boat trip with Tony's sisters husband (owner of the restaurant) highly recommended.
Favourite villa moment: Boat trip with 'Evo' around the islands...caving, cliff jumping, snorkelling, sand beach and a good lunch. He's good company too, with tales of the war!

Whilst our stay was fantastic, some of the party couldn't take a hot shower as the hot water ran out really quickly. We didn't actually mention this to the owner though.
Impressed with: The nearest bay the owner took us to…I can't remember the name but there were some lovely bars and restaurants and such a beautiful setting. I loved snorkeling at the nearest beach too. There were loads of fish so I would recommend that.
Not impressed with: The people. The scenery. The beautiful sea.
Favourite villa moment: There isn't one particular highlight... It was a super break that was just so relaxing. Glorious weather and beautiful surroundings. The Croatian people are utterly charming. They are genuinely lovely people. We would all definitely return.Stayed July/August 2012

Impressed with: The coastline is unspolit by high rise development. Please go high end (i.e. lots of large villas) and don't over develop!!!
Not impressed with: People not as friendly as in other countries (Italy for example) though I do appreciate this is based on limited contact. this is not to say people were unfriendly, they just seemed a little cold.
Recommend: Cavtat great.

Excellent. The local contact was fantastic. Extremely friendly and helpful. He was around in the mornings, but only to maintain the pool and to make sure we had everything we needed, or to ask whether we had any questions.

Owner was so helpful and really friendly, a lovely villa that lived up to everything mentioned on the website and more. We had a very enjoyable stay! The landscape was so diverse, such natural beauty in this part of the country.

This was our first visit to Croatia, the villa we rented was totally as described, extremely clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owner was happy to allow us to enter the property a little earlier as we had two young children with us. He could not have been more helpful throughout our stay and even helped us with restaurant recommendations and bookings also giving advice on places to visit. The location of the villa was perfect, set just outside a small village overlooking a small group of vineyards, away from the crowds but close enough to the beach to get our seaside fix just 5 minutes away! The only concern with this villa concerned the number of stairs both leading up to the villa and from the villa down to the pool and poolside area as we had two young children aged 3 and 5 travelling with us. But provide that care was taken this did not prove to be a problem.
Impressed with: The lack of tourists, value for money, quality of the food, friendliness of the locals.
Recommend: Visit Ston and walk the wall, also the wall around Dubrovnik is definitely worth a walk round, the views across the city are spectacular. Travel the cable car to the restaurant Panorama, great views, food disappointing. The island of Lopud is definitely worth a visit, book lunch at Obala, fantastic. Another restaurant we would recomend is Kasar at Zaton Veliki, lovely fish, but meat also. Lastly the gardens at Trsteno.
