Airnet given eastern European aircraft contract

Slovenian-based Airnet has been named as the authorised sale representative of Mooney Airplane in eastern Europe, it has been revealed.
The Balkan company will be responsible for selling single-engine piston planes in a range of countries including Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro on behalf of US-based Mooney, reports the San Antonio Business Journal.
Operating as Mooney EEU, the company will also offer charter and flight training services, brokerage, financing and shared ownership in the region.
Susan Harrison, manager of international sales at Mooney, told the newspaper Airnet has an impressive number of satisfied customers and a long record of representation, sales and servicing aircraft.
"We are confident that they will be valuable partners for us in this emerging marketplace for our aircraft," she added.
Mooney currently serves 1,000 international customers in addition to 7,000 in the US.
It has manufactured over 11,000 aircraft and achieved more than 40 million hours of flight.
