Another property developer sets its sights on Croatia
11 February 2008
A leading real estate developer has announced plans to extend its operations to Croatia.
Quinlan Private Golub will open regional offices in the country, as well as possible hotels and mid to high-end residential developments.
"Our plans may be ambitious but we have the resources, capabilities and most importantly, the expertise and experience to realise them successfully," Roger Dunlop, chief executive officer of the firm, told online financial journal Portfolio.
He added the company's intentions to construct hotels in cities around Poland and other central European countries.
After entering Poland's high-end residential market last year, the firm's representatives said they would focus on "the luxury segment" in 2008, with forecasts indicating that demand for high-quality properties remains strong.
In recent weeks, global gaming company Betting Terminal also revealed plans to launch a new project in Croatia.
With 100 new betting terminals lined up for Croatia's entertainment hotspots, the move to integrate BackgammonMasters' poker game software into its terminals marks the rise of the country as a gaming fan's holiday dream.
As part of the plans, coffee shops, restaurants and bars will eventually feature multi-player Texas Holdem Poker facilities, with further popular casino games to follow.
