'Bewitching' Istria is 'great place to buy-to-let'
26 August 2008
The Istrian peninsula is "one of Croatia's most bewitching areas", a source has claimed.
Istria enjoys the high points of near-by Tuscany, while also benefiting from cheaper property prices, Homes Worldwide has stated.
The publication claims the Istrian coastline is a major attraction for those wishing to travel to Croatia, with the area becoming "a great place to buy-to-let".
Caroline Hollingworth, managing director of Hollingworth and Associates, told the source the area has become "one of Croatia's hottest properties", thanks in part to its strong road and air transport links.
She added: "The tourist-friendly infrastructure is ensuring that the area's stunning coastline and beautiful countryside is now starting to truly capitalise on its potential."
While the magazine has singled out Istria as a particular consideration for investment, recent figures show an 89.9 per cent increase in Adriatic property prices in the last ten years, reports Propertyinvesting.net.
Meanwhile, the nation as a whole has seen a property value rise of 61.6 per cent since 2004, the website states.
