Brit in finals of Croatian sidecar championship
12 August 2008
British sidecar driver Tim Reeves is heading into the finals of the World Sidecar championship in Croatia.
With three world championship titles already to his name, Reeves is looking to close the eight-point gap between him and current leader Pekka Paivarinta, reports Kent News.
If he manages to beat the Finnish driver and his partner this year, Reeves could end up with a record-breaking four titles.
The competitor is hoping the weather at the Croatian course will favour him more than it did in Germany, where the torrential rain caused him to spin and end up in second place.
Mr Reeves commented: "It is getting really tight now. I am just hoping to get a dry race because five out of the six so far have been wet and Paivarinta in those conditions is really good."
The Croatian leg of the competition will be held in Rijeka on August 15th to 17th.
