Bush considers Croatia return

George W Bush is looking to take a holiday in Croatia sometime in the future, it has been revealed.

According to Javno.com, the US president told Croatian premier Ivo Sanader of his plans at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The news provider suggests the leader, who was in the country for a political visit in April, may wish to return in more relaxed circumstances.

Mr Sanader is quoted as saying: "He said that Croatia remains a good memory and that he will certainly visit on one occasion, but privately with his wife Laura."

The website went on to speculate that Mr Bush may also be tempted by a return to the country as he got a comparatively warm welcome on his last visit.

Javno.com recently revealed Slovenian agriculture minister Milan Pogacnik was in Croatia to open the annual International Autumn Zagreb Fair.

He joined Croatian counterpart Petar Cobankovic and president Stjepan Mesic in launching the event.
