Business giant scouts Croatia talent for savvy stars of the future

A selection of Croatian students have availed of a glittering learning opportunity offered by professional services giant Deloitte.
Under the firm's annual international Student Business Forum, the eager academics had the chance to hone their entrepreneurial know-how during a three-day sojourn in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Joining a variety of contemporaries from 29 other countries including the UK, Poland, Italy and Spain, Croatia's cohort were informed that global firms are now focussing "beyond local borders" for their future leaders.
Following on from this, students were challenged to work in diverse team situations on professional business cases before presenting solutions to a panel of client judges.
"Deloitte is unique in that the event provides a real-world international business experience for these talented individuals," explained Kent Kirch, director of global recruiting for the company.
"The multinational, multi-cultural aspect of the event identifies talented individuals who may one day come to work for Deloitte member firms, or may one day be Deloitte clients," he added.
Experts note that eastern European destinations like Croatia are gaining increased prominence on the world's economic stage, making it an ideal time for residents of such diverse countries to showcase their talents and business know-how.
