Changes made to Croatia Airlines flights from Heathrow
07 July 2008
Tourists intending to travel by Croatia Airlines to the country via London Heathrow airport have been informed flights will soon depart from Terminal 1 rather than Terminal 3 as at present.
Croatia Airlines will move either later this year or early in 2009, according to ftnnews.com.
It comes as Star Alliance - of which Croatia Airlines is a regional member - has opened a new lounge in Terminal 1, which will be available to all first and business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold Card holders.
Lee Hock Lye, vice president of products and services at Star Alliance, told the website the lounge will benefit both carriers and customers.
"Rather than own separate lounges and incur duplicate construction and operating costs, Star Alliance lounges save the airlines money, and give customers a high-quality experience in a comfortable environment that is much larger and with more amenities than the carriers could provide on their own," he added.
Meanwhile, tourism minister Dajr Bajs has told balkaninsight.com he expects a good summer of tourism in the country this summer.
He said foreign visitors are expected to generate over seven billion euros (£5.5 billion) this year.
