Children's creativity in Sibenik
15 January 2008
This summer holidays fend off boredom by taking your children to the international festival in the Croatian town of Sibenik.
Encouraging the creativity of children is the focus of this event and an exciting programme has been planned around the town.
The festival has been attracting talented professional and amateur performance groups since 1958, including puppeteers, film-makers, actors, poets and musicians.
Plenty of workshops have been scheduled where children of all ages can actively participate and discover their creative side.
There will be a number of seminars for adults interested in motivating children's' creativity.
Attending the festival is easy from a rented villa in Croatia and Sibenik is a fascinating place to go sightseeing, as its architecture is a mixture of 15th and 16th century gothic and renaissance styles.
Unesco has put the central Cathedral of St. James on its list of world heritage sites.
The festival is supported by Unicef and Unesco and is sponsored by the president of Croatia.
