Clubbers recommended to 'head for Hvar'
12 June 2008
Hvar has one of the "hottest clubbing scenes" in Croatia, it has been claimed.
The Carpe Diem is the centrepiece, a bar where late night party-goers can drink the night away, reports jetsetreport.com.
After 02:00 local time the sound of techno music can be heard coming from the stone facade of the bar across the harbour, it is claimed.
Revellers at the bar range from the "mega-wealthy" to "Euro-campers cleaned up for an evening", according to the website.
There is usually "a steady stream of local Croatians" to accompany visitors to the island in the Adriatic coast.
All are recommended by jetsetreport.com to avoid taking an evening swim in the harbour, as the mega-ferry docks directly in front of the club and regular fishing boats could also cause clubbers harm.
The managing director of jetsetreport.com said recently that Hvar is the "chicest" of Croatia's islands and is packed with plush hotels.
