Croatian international football defender Vedran Corluka has joined compatriot Luka Modric at Tottenham Hotspur following the completion of his transfer from English Premier League rival Manchester City.
The 21-year-old right back, who made 41 appearances for the Blues and has been capped 24 times by his country, made the switch for a fee believed to be in the region of £8.5 million.
Corluka, who made his name with current Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb, has signed a six-year contract.
He told the official Tottenham website: "I am delighted to be here because I am coming to a big club with great players, great ambition and also my best friend [Luka Modric] is here so it is a very happy day for me."
In recent Zagreb-based news, it was revealed residents of the city helped break a worldwide record for the most simultaneous games of Monopoly.
According to javno.com, some 80 participants took part in the capital city, while a further 120 played across Croatia and over 1,000 players joined in across the globe.
