Croatia 'great for modern traveller'

Croatia has unspoilt landscape, great beaches, excellent food and great hospitality, making it an ideal location for modern travellers, a source states.
The Croatian Tour Blog reports the country is one of the most beautiful in Europe and has a choice of 1,185 islands to holiday on.
According to the source, there are a wide range of activities to engage in and attractions to visit, ranging from shopping to cultural events and natural scenery.
Zagreb is attracting more visitors, but the majority of tourists to the country head for the coastal areas and islands for their break, the website comments.
In addition, those who like warm weather will be better off on the coast, as it often attracts hotter climes.
However, the source states that the whole country has a continental climate, with cooler spots in the mountains.
The Croatian Travel Blog reports that Varazdin, in the north of the country, is a great place to take a day trip, if staying in Zagreb.
