Croatia is getting excited about the Snow Queen Trophy

Croatia is investing millions of euros to make sure the Snow Queen Trophy giant slalom race in February will be a success.
The skiing association are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the historic competition at Croatian ski resort Mount Sljeme, which kicks off on February 15th.
They are expecting many spectators to see the giant slalom races and famous skiing champions who have confirmed they will compete in the competition for world cup circuit points and the 165,000 euro prize money.
The women's race will be on February 15 th and the men's race on Sunday February 16th. That night there will be a celebratory concert at Ban Jelacic Square in Zagreb.
As well as the main events, a "skiing legends" giant slalom race will also take place, featuring Janica Kostelic, Ingemmar Stenmark, Alberto Tomba and Marc Giardelli among others.
Package tickets for this big ski weekend will go on sale soon, including transport, entertainment, entry and food. The race will also be screened on a large screen in the square.
