Croatia on the hot list for 2008

Croatia is tipped to be a hot destination for 2008 holidays, according to the list compiled by USA Today.
Tour bookings in Croatia are "on fire," according to Carlson Wagonlit Travel spokesman Steve Loucks. He explained that the relative strength of the dollar in European countries outside the eurozone.
Environmentally holidays are also tipped to increase in popularity this year as is gastro-tourism.
"Increasingly, (travellers) are seeking out places where they can learn about food and participate in food culture," says Michael Whiteman, restaurant consultant with Joseph Baum & Michael Whiteman.
"They're building their vacations around it. Smart hotels are putting together culinary packages."
Hiring accommodation in Croatia allows holidaymakers to enjoy the fabulous local produce and culinary delicacies of this unspoilt eastern European country.
