Croatia 'probably cheapest' Mediterranean choice

Croatia holiday enthusiasts who like to relax by the sea have emphasised that the Adriatic paradise makes a "great" choice.
Writers at the Telegraph noted that the destination boasts "crystal-clear seas", with ladders or steps often cut into rock in order to provide natural and easy access to the water.
Furthermore, mountain scenery in Croatia is described as attractive for ramblers, with the country's coastal range meeting the sea to give way to "ribbon islands covered with pine woods, flower-rich maquis and fields of vines and lavender".
The publication's writers also confirmed that rented villas and apartments continue to surge in popularity among people who prefer to try something new during vacation time.
Pointing out that the Dalmatian coast has four main tourist areas, the Telegraph concluded that Croatia is "probably the cheapest country in the Mediterranean" for holidaymakers.
Wines cost approximately £4 per bottle, while a coffee comes in at 50 pence and a pizza around £2.50.
Dalmatia's premier regions include the Istrian peninsula to the north, the Kvarner region, Split and the islands of Cres and Rab in the centre, and the south's Makarska Riviera – not forgetting the historic city of Dubrovnik.
