Croatian doctors list unveiled

The American State Department has released a list of Croatian doctors that it recommends people to use when visiting Croatia.
Doctors were added to the list as a result of American citizen's experiences with doctors in Croatia as well as the opinions of the health department of the State Department.
There as some criticism of the list however, as it did not include any pulmonologists from Zagreb.
Neven Tudoric, from the Dubrava hospital, said: "Of course there are very good pulmonologists in Zagreb. It seems they either missed them or they did not need pulmonologists in Zagreb. Zagreb does, after all, have the most doctors, there is also the medical university, so there is no logical explanation for this omission."
The list does contain doctors from 26 different branches of medicine and there are also 65 dentists from across Croatia.
Croatia will no doubt be boosted by the news, as it will if it is granted EU membership in 2011 as expected.
