Croatian island 'tempting property investors'
09 July 2008
The construction of new apartment buildings is tempting international property investors to Ciova in Croatia.
Conveniently located 30 kilometres from Split and 15 minutes from Split Kastela/Resnick international airport, the island is already popular with tourists, homesgofast.com reports.
The website states Ciova is an ideal place for people who want to live on the Dalmatian coast but also remain close to the airport and a major city.
One to three bedroom apartments in the new housing developments just outside Trogir, "the gateway to Ciova" are said to offer stunning views of the Adriatic and begin at a little over 140,000 euros (£111,575).
Trogir, which is situated on a small island of its own between the mainland and Civoa and offers a "gorgeous waterfront and offers all the amenities of a small city", has recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, according to an article in the Washington Post.
Hvar, which is further from the coast, has also become a heritage site recently.
