Croatian property 'exceptionally good value for money'

Its favourable location and attractive prices have made Croatia a popular property choice for Brits.

That is the conclusion of Les Calvert, director of overseas real estate specialists Property Abroad.

"Croatia's exceptionally good value for money," he confirmed, pointing out that the country is particularly popular with investors who like "to get ahead of everybody else".

"We've seen a large increase in online searches for property in Croatia in the last 12 months, so obviously people are starting to take more interest," he continued.

He noted that although Croatia's real estate market is not as developed as those in other countries on the Adriatic – such as Greece and Italy – it is undoubtedly "one to look out for".

Figures from the Croatian tourist board reveal that almost 11 million tourists – both foreign and domestic – visited Croatia between January and November 2007, a rise of eight per cent from the same period in 2006.

Mr Calvert concluded that people have expressed interest in a range of Croatian locations, from major cities like Zagreb and Dubrovnik to more inland destinations.

"People are [also] looking at new developments on the beaches - it really is a bit of everything," he remarked.ADNFCR-1197-ID-18438608-ADNFCR
