Cycle touring in Croatia
05 December 2007
Make your holiday in Croatia a tour with a difference by travelling by bike. Cycle touring is becoming increasingly common as people discover the stunning coastline and beautiful countryside either independently or on a guided tour.
A villa in Croatia can make a perfect base for exploring and there are plenty of day rides which can be completed, even in the islands.
From Split to Dubrovnik and through the islands, you can cycle during the morning, sight-see in the afternoon and enjoy the local nightlife in the evening.
Take a ferry to Jelsa on the beautiful island of Hvar. When you are cycling it is easy to stop whenever you like to take photos of the spectacular scenery.
Cruise past seascape on your left and forest on your right, then enjoy a picnic of local cheeses, breads, meats, and salads.
Finish off your Croatian holiday by leaving the bike behind and taking a cruise around the islands near Dubrovnik.
