Dubrovnik vacation: Summer festival underway

The Dubrovnik Summer Festival is nearing the halfway point of its one month run but there are still many events for visitors to the town to enjoy, it is claimed.
According to homesgofast.com, a performance by "internationally known guitar players" John Williams and John Etheridge - both together and solo - is set to take place on Friday (July 25th).
Several performances of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream will also take place before the end of the festival on August 15th, as well as a production by local playwright M Drzic.
The website states dance and folklore events will also run alongside other remaining music and theatre shows, with all venues easily accessible from the city centre.
Dubrovnik's annual festival began in 1950 and is now celebrating its 59thth consecutive year.
Its official websites states many an artist has "danced the festival reel", both foreign and domestic, some famous and others going on to find fame after performing in Dubrovnik.
