Eurovision fever hots up in Croatia
17 April 2008
Laka, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Eurovision song contest entrant, will be the latest singer to visit Croatia this Sunday.
Earlier this month the Croatian offering Kings of the Street presented their song in Russian.
Kings of The Street said: "We have worked very hard trying to make it as good as possible. Of course we couldn't do it all alone - we asked some Russian language experts and poets to help us. The lyrics 'suffered' a bit because you can't translate something literally - but it sounds great, even in Russian."
Serbian Jelena Tomasevic visited Croatia on April 13th and made an appearance on Croatian radio.
Kings of the Street, or Kraljevi Ulice, were selected to compete on behalf of Croatia after winning the Dora a pop festival designed to find the Croatian entrant for the competition.
The group has said that they are going to Belgrade next May to "bring Eurovision to Zagreb".
