Fetish fans flock to Zagreb club
17 January 2008
Zagreb's popular Aquarius club was last weekend's setting for a much-anticipated fetish fiesta.
London outfit Torture Garden - the world's biggest body art club - drew a large crowd to the event, which featured a variety of quirky performers.
Javno reports that "Queen of the Night" Empress Stah swallowed fire and boogied with a male blow-up doll for her appearance, featuring background music that included "I Put a Spell on You".
The publication went on to describe the electrifying atmosphere of the Aquarius during the evening.
"From a musical standpoint, the two floors were filled with the sounds of Borghesia, Die Krupps, Sex Pistols, Bauhaus, which means that all of the possible forms of industro/goth/dark were represented," it explained.
Torture Garden's DJ Allen and David led the rhythmic representation, with local DJs Griffis, Ivan, Yas and Tomi Phantasma completing stints to the delight of the gathered crowd.
Devoted clubbers are known to flock from Croatia and beyond to the capital's Aquarius hotspot, which opened in 1992 and has attracted a stream of internationally-renowned DJs since then.
