Gastronomic delights in Croatia

The town of Delnice, in the Gorski kotar region of north-western Croatia, will welcome visitors this weekend to its famous culinary weekend: Goranski gastro vikend.
This festival has been running since 2004 and showcases the indigenous ingredients and cooking of a country with a strong culture of the table.
Visitors staying at a villa in Istria can easily attend the festival and a programme featuring local musicians and dancers will also keep everyone well entertained.
On December 6th and 7th restauranteurs and whole food producers of the Gorski kotar region will gather to demonstrate delicacies and cooking techniques at the Radnicki dom, both nights starting at 19:00 local time.
Food will be cooked in front of the audience in a huge pan. On the first evening the mayor of Delnice will be cooking a wild game and mushroom goulash.
On the second evening, people on holiday in Croatia will see the Croatian culinary team.
The weekend is organised by the Delnice tourist board.
