Interactive TV boffins outline 'ambitious roadmap' for Croatia

The entertainment options provided in Croatian accommodation could be expanded further this year, after the country's national cable operator signed a deal to create interactive TV nationwide.
Under the agreement, Quative will facilitate an end-to-end interactive TV solution for B Net Croatia's broadband cable system.
A digital TV service is to be launched in the coming months on the back of the arrangement, including standard-definition and high-definition channels, with a personal video recorder option for individuals keen on boosting their apartment or villa's level of technological wizardry.
"Working with Quative, we will launch an innovative interactive TV service in Croatia to our solid local customer base, and extend the initial digital TV service offering with an ambitious roadmap," confirmed Adrian Jezina, the chief executive of B Net Croatia.
A leading cable TV and internet provider in Croatia's telecommunication market, B Net represents an amalgamation of the country's two biggest cable operators.
The firm delivers a complete range of telecommunication services to Croatian inhabitants, including cable TV, internet and phone services for both private and business users.
Network coverage is provided in all major national geographical and economic centres, from Osijek, Rijeka and Solin to Split, Velika Gorica and Zadar.
