Montenegrin students 'given chance to study in Croatia'

A memorandum has been signed by the Croatian state secretary for education and a Montenegrin envoy paving, the way for students from Montenegro to study on the other side of the border.
The agreement, signed in Zagreb, will allow young Montenegrins the opportunity to attend basic or master studies at universities across Croatia, balkaninsight.com reports.
Education minister Dragan Primorac told the website Croatian students will also be able to travel to Montenegro as part of joint and exchange programmes.
It will also help both countries to fulfil their ambitions of joining the European Union (EU) as it is in accordance with the bloc's negotiations policies.
Montenegro has completed the first step to accession by signing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, while Croatia expects to join the EU by 2011.
Students wishing to make their way between the two countries will have the option of travelling by the new air link between Zagreb and Podgorica, which will fly directly between the cities twice a week.
