Movie magic-makers head for Croatia

A leading film production company is making tracks across the Adriatic to take advantage of Croatia's diverse range of people and locations, it has emerged.
Komuna, a Yugoslavia-based firm responsible for a wide range of output including music programmes, documentaries and TV series, has just finalised a partnership deal with Motion Network, a media and communications firm with operations in Europe, the US and the Far East.
It is expected that the move will further eastern Europe's input into the wider entertainment and media world.
"Motion Network is in advanced talks with major partners in all regions of Europe; the aim is to have partners with the same profile as Komuna, integrated companies with vertical businesses and distribution or sales networks already running," remarked Christophe Kourdouly, vice-president of the organisation.
He went on to explain that bosses at Komuna are experienced movie producers who have produced international box office films including 'Underground' and 'Black Cat, White Cat' by Sarajevo's Emir Kusturica.
Komuna is also responsible for the production of music concerts, records and a selection of books and comics.
