New Swedish air routes to Croatia
03 January 2008
Swedish carrier SAS Sverige has announced new summer routes from Stockholm to Zagreb in Croatia.
"The new routes are a continuation of our strong expansion in Europe," explained Susanne Dahlberg, commercial director for SAS Sverige.
"Destinations to Croatia and Norway are due to increasing interest in flights to these countries primarily as tourist destinations, but also as business destinations," she added.
Beginning on March 31st, the airline will fly from Arlanda airport outside Stockholm to Zagreb on Monday and Friday afternoons. Departures to Zagreb on Wednesdays will start on April 30th.
Last year SAS Sverige announced that a new route from Gothenburg to the Croatian town of Split will begin in summer on June 7th.
This is in addition to the Stockholm to Split route that operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
SAS Sverige says it is the airline with the most direct flights to Croatia from Sweden.
