Property firm to make Split 'real centre' of Dalmatia
21 January 2008
A leading international property consultant has opened a new office in Split.
Colliers International's latest base follows the establishment of offices in Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
Set to focus on commercial real estate, the Split business will have particular emphasis on the retail and office sectors.
It will be headed by Ivana Bucevic, who was previously in charge of the Dubrovnik office.
She commented : "I am from Split myself and am extremely proud to have the opportunity to be involved in the commercial regeneration of the city.
"The projects planned will have a big effect on the quality of life in Split, transforming it once more into the real centre of Dalmatia, as it deserves."
Tomislav Perovic, managing director of Colliers International's Croatian arm, added that the commercial real estate market in Croatia is "finally becoming decentralised".
As the largest real estate advisory firm in south-east Europe, the consultant's Split office will be engaged in development in Split, Sibenik and Zadar, with the construction of crowd-pulling shopping centres and office developments in the pipeline.
