Sailing around Croatia is an 'incredible' experience

Croatia's many islands and 4,000 kilometre-long coast make it a "stunning" sailing destination, it has been claimed.

According to Sail World, the country's intact medieval towns and cities lie "peacefully" beside crystal-clear seas.

"The Adriatic coast of Croatia offers incredible scenery, crystal-clear briny, flat-water sailing, fascinating history, impressive medieval walled cities, great food and great people," stated the publication.

It recommended that maritime enthusiasts seek out a two-week itinerary along the coast via Trogir and Split, taking in islands such as Hvar and Korcula before arriving in Dubrovnik.

People who prefer to rest on dry land are advised to avail of the many rented villas and apartments currently on offer across the country.

"With 66 inhabited islands to choose from, you may elect to spend time in one small area, really exploring the bays and villages off the tourist route," concluded Sail World.

A growing number of travel specialists have highlighted that any destination along the Dalmation coast allows intrepid explorers to "touch history" while also savouring a "thoroughly modern" lifestyle.ADNFCR-1197-ID-18470311-ADNFCR
