Sports channel to become available throughout Croatia

Owners or renters of Croatian villas will soon have another source of entertainment in their accommodation, it has emerged.
According to reports, TV's Eurosport Group has agreed a deal which will see Croatia and a number of other eastern European countries get access to some of the most popular sports channels on the box.
Jean-Thierry Augustin, deputy managing director of distribution and development for the group, explained to SportBusiness magazine that RCS & RDS, a telecoms service provider in central and eastern Europe, provides the "fastest-growing platforms" in the region.
"Despite fierce local competition, Eurosport 2 has proven to be the ultimate 'must have' entertainment channel in a vast [number] of households in these markets," he added.
As part of the new deal, Eurosport 2's basic package will become available to 5.2 million subscribers across Croatia, Serbia and other eastern European destinations.
Croatian villa and apartment owners got further good news recently as it was announced that the country's mobile phone tariffs are to be reduced during the coming months.
