Travel Croatia: Kolocep recommended for single parents


Single parents should visit the Croatian island of Kolocep, a travel operator has recommended.

The island, which is located a 25 minute ferry trip from Dubrovnik, will delight and tempt, according to Small Families.

Visitors to the island will be put up Hotel Villas Kolocep, the only hotel in the vicinity.

According to the company it is "luxuriously equipped" and shared with other single parent families.

The Croatian villas all have air conditioning and sea views from the car free island and flat screen televisions, refrigerators and WiFi internet are all also said to come as standard.

Swimming pools, table tennis and volleyball can also be accessed through Small Holidays, which is currently offering seven day holidays including return flights from Gatwick for £730 an adult and £660 a child.

The New York Times has also recommended the island of Hvar, located near Split.

According to the newspaper, British families particularly enjoy the island which has "a Mediterranean feel" and a town for visitors to enjoy.
